Corner Boy Remembers (A) by Frank Kennedy
Frank Kennedy was born in St. John's in 1921. While still in high school at Holy Cross he took up photography as a hobby. He bought his first camera, a Baby Brownie at age sixteen. It cost $1.20, and was a far cry from the $30,000 camera he used at the CBC, where he was employed for 22 years after serving 20 years as a Daily News photographer. In his first book, Flashes From the Past, Kennedy described some of the exciting stories he covered during his 42 years covering the news.
